Got a barbecue the other day… From Fry’s of all places. (I happened to be there, and since the prices were about the same or lower than anywhere else, I figured it was a good a source as any.) The first challenge was getting it home. Had a bit of trouble lifting the big awkward 100-pound box into my trunk until a passerby lent me a hand. Unloading proved easier as I simply opened the box and unloaded the parts one at a time.
The next challenge was getting propane. I remember it being easier to buy propane in Canada (if not at most gas stations, then at the nearest Canadian Tire. No such luck here, as very few gas stations carry propane. I went to three without any luck. At the third one, the attendant—with a thick, bushy Indian accent—told me, “Juhal! Juhal!” I couldn’t figure out what he meant, thinking to myself, “who the heck is Juhal?” until he pointed across the street.
So I ended up buying propane at—of all places—the U-Haul.
